My Week In Indy

Indy07One of the reasons I started this blog is because no one ever knows where I am. My Mom does not know where I am… My husband does not even know where I am. So I figured I could give people a little bit of a clearer picture of HOW MUCH I travel by using this blog. I was in Indianapolis, Indiana this week at Phired Up Headquarters working with my boss Jessica and doing some filming for videos we are releasing in the fall! Here are some highlights of my trip:

  • My company and my team is unlike any other. We call ourselves a family (well Indy05actually a Phamily) and we mean it. We take birthdays seriously, we take lives seriously and we take relationships seriously. This week I was able to be in town for one of our team member’s birthdays! Huge Happy Birthday to Miss Catie Feagans! You are such a special soul and a spark of light in all of our lives! Thank you for caring so much about each heart on our team and doing everything to make people feel special! You are so appreciated by each of us!
  • The company I work with is full of the most fun and funny people I have ever met. Every single one of our team members is someone I would hang out with I real life! I do not know how any of them get any work done in the office on any given day. For all of you out there in the world who want a peak inside the office I tried to take a few pictures… while also trying to get work done. I know there are a lot of people who wonder what we are like in real life and let me tell you there is not a whole lot of difference. I feel constantly fortunate to work for a company that lets me work from home and deeply trusts me to do what is best for us… but I officially have “Office FOMO”! I wish I was there to see my people more often!
  • Finally, for those of you who know me, you already know… some of you don’t… (this is hard for me to say because I don’t want to come across as braggy) but I was promoted this year. It has been so interesting taking on this new leadership role and I LOVE EVERY MOMENT I get to have with my mentor, best friend and hide the body friend, Jessica. I have never worked with another person who inspires my creativity, pushes me, develops me and helps me to produce excellence the way that Jessica does. So Jessica… if you ever read this… thank you for letting me sit at the table. Most importantly thanks for hiring me. I know it was a gamble, but thank you for giving me work that gives me purpose.

Have an AWESOME Memorial Day weekend you all! I am on a plane headed back to CoMo! I am going to try some new stuff this weekend so I will post about it after! Also, I am flying all over the country next week… check back in!
