Over the weekend I got to see so many good friends of mine! One weird thing about this job is that you develop really authentic and genuine relationships with the people you visit year after year. The people I see and the friends I get to revisit is the thing that keeps me going. If it were not for the relationships, this job would be so much more difficult. Over the weekend I was at Kentucky and Central Florida which are both schools I have visited before. Here is a recap of my favorite stuff:
- My ABSOLUTE Favorite College boutique is in Lexington KY. It is a place called Bella Rose. They have been in business for 30 years and they sell AMAZING brands and fashionable stuff. I have gone in there to shop around every year on this day and they always remember me. I have purchased some of my favorite Shoshanna, Milly and Amanda Uprichard things here. I stopped in on Saturday and picked up three different dresses! They were having their big end of summer sale so it was excellently priced. If you are ever in town absolutely go into this shop you will not regret it!
- I have been working with the Kentucky Potential new members now for a few years and the Panhellenic officers there feel like my friends. I look forward to seeing them. When we are at conferences I seek them out to hang out. I just adore them. I hope the feeling is mutual. This year was no exception. I am impressed with their hard work and positivity. I am excited to see the ways they constantly develop their program and push the chapter members and PNM’s.
- How can you not love Central Florida? This is another relationship I am so humbled by and so proud of. I have been working with the officers and staff for a few years to really help the community with their massive growth they have been experiencing. I had dinner with my friend Olivia before I had to be on campus for Greek Forum. Afterwards we went back to her apartment and sat on her couch in PJ’s. I was so happy I could hardly stand it! I am so thankful for the people in my life who know exactly what I need when I need it!
This weekend was full of HUGE audiences, good friends and the future of sorority. I am so honored to be the person who speaks to our Potential Members to prepare them for this life changing thing called sorority. Mostly I am excited to see what their future holds, what they change and what they challenge! LOVE MY JOB!
