The Fashion Roundup!

I am home for 48 hours! It is so rare that I get to sleep in my own bed at all during the month of August and I am writing you from my couch cuddled up with Dexter, brown dog!  For the blog today I wanted to do a major “Shop This Post” wrap up from my first chunk of clothing from August. I had a lot of people ask me about where I got my clothing so here is the answer!  I am going to rank it from most casual to least!

IMG_2592This white Free People dress is awesome, comfortable and an easy no brainer for styling. I always paired it with fun/edgy earrings and my tassel sandals. Fit and Flare dresses are always the best for the summer. What you cannot see is that there is a whole bunch of awesome ivory embroidery on the high neck!

IMG_3704This lace up dress is TO DIE FOR! Probably my most commented on dress from this August. Obviously the lace up trend is hot right now and it is a trapeze style so it flows really nicely in the back. It is great with wedges and sandals. I am also loving the orangy red color combo (I think it is going to explode in the fall and winter). These pictures do not do it justice!

Amanda Uprichard is back you all! I adore this blush silk dress. The only issue is that I was nervous about the color, it could wash you out if you do not reapply that self tanner. It is a baby doll dress so it has some inserts that begin at the empire waist and would look KILLER in the fall with some tan booties! Also, I jumped on that choker train! If you are still talking smack, you might want to reconsider. They are EVERYWHERE! I paired this with interesting sandals and stud earrings.

IMG_2360This is the second dress I got the most compliments on. I love Tularosa the brand! This dress also had pockets, which made it so much more perfect. I always paired it with gold hoop earrings and my gold Tory Burch sandals to dress it up a little. Again, I am loving the reds and oranges right now! The only thing that made this dress tough was that it had buttons down the back, now I want you to try to button your dress from behind alone in a hotel room… not so easy.

IMG_2424Wait, I take all of that back… I got TONS of compliments on this Elizabeth James dress. It is called Orlando Stripe and is a berry and denim type stripe. I paired it with my Nudist shoes, sandals and wedges. My favorite pairing was with my navy wedges. This dress is a little tricky to wear because it has a deep V in the front and back so you CANNOT bend over. For jewelry I wore long simple earrings and bracelets… I mostly let the dress do most of the talking.

IMG_3769Elizabeth James strikes again. Now I LOVE this dress. I know I wear it a lot on the blog but you all have no idea how flattering it is. The cut, color, fabric and material makes it practically flawless. Now when you are one dot on a stage in a basketball arena you need a vibrant dress and this one fits that bill perfectly. Also, Stuart Weitzman is my favorite shoe company and these nudist sandals can be seen at every single red carpet event and most recently, Gisele wore them as she walked across the stage at the Olympics Opening Ceremony! They are the perfect large audience shoe. I paired it with a few sparkly bracelets and earrings because that is important in an arena, then pumped up that bright red lip!

I will be releasing a whole new capsule in the upcoming four weeks of travel I have left so stay tuned!
