I spoke at the University of San Diego last night for Kappa Delta’s Confidence week! It was a quick trip… but there is no where in this world like San Diego!
- I love this city! It is so beautiful. I have traveled here A LOT! I feel like so many key moments of my life have happened here from work to friendship. If you have never been it is such a gem in America. The city is nestled right on the Pacific Ocean and beach trips are an easy visit for residents. The parks are gorgeous. There are so many neighborhoods to visit as well. You really cannot go wrong no matter what you do.
- The food is spectacular! Old Town has some of the best Mexican food you can find in the world. Fish tacos are the bomb down here. For our meals I ate at the Fig Leaf which is a local establishment that has a few restaurants open in the area. Any fish you can order will be so fresh and delicious. We also went to Tender Greens for dinner, which serves local and sustainable meals. I love getting a salad that is mostly leafy lettuce, which is exactly what I ordered!
- USD is a perfect campus. It is located at the top of a hill just a few miles from the heart of the city. It over looks the entire beachfront and downtown area. There are not many places on this planet that are more picturesque. A lot of the students live at the beach and commute the 10 minutes to campus every day… so jealous! Lastly, the people here are honestly so friendly. They all have no qualms getting outside of their comfort zone and spending time with new people. They are outgoing, easy to connect with and beautiful little souls.
I had a fantastic time at USD for my quick visit! Thank you Kappa Delta for bringing me! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
