I hope you all had an awesome Thanksgiving! I am decorating all day today. I might also head over to the Mizzou game… Depending on the weather!
- First of all, there are some MAJOR sales going on right now! I specifically suggest you go to Nordstrom. They are doing 20% additional off of sales items! I went a little crazy late last night when I could not sleep! So many of the things I purchased and wear all the time are on sale! My favorite jacket, booties, pajamas and jeans are all available for great prices! I will also be headed to my favorite boutique in CoMo today, Swank, to hit up their sale! Absolutely check out some small local shops in your neighborhood today and tomorrow… that is usually where I get the best stuff for great prices during this shopping day! There are hundreds of great deals going on right now so enjoy!
- Thanksgiving was pretty two-fold for us over here! On Wednesday night we hosted a small get-together and then made our own Thanksgiving dinner. I cooked a turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberries, sweet potatoes, a spinach salad, an ambrosia pie and a chocolate pecan pie. It was DELICIOUS! We broke out the china and the crystal, and the good wine! I know I have said this a ton, but I love cooking and I love trying challenging stuff! I think in order to be a great cook you only need a little confidence to substitute, try something new or go off script every once in a while. I love creating a vision of a meal and putting all of the pieces together.
- Thursday was the final part of my Thanksgiving extravaganza! It started with the CoMo Turkey Trax race. We finished in 26:10… which is pretty good for us… that is about an 8:36 min mile. We are able to walk to downtown from our home which is awesome and super convenient. After the race, I made a batch of my beloved and famous pimento cheese (Upon request, might I add) for Brendon’s Family’s Thanksgiving celebration. We spent the entire afternoon with his side of the family and we enjoyed our second Turkey dinner in a row. I will never be hungry again.
OK, now for Christmas! I will be doing some fun gift buying guides next week as well as giving out decorating tips! Bring on the Bing Crosby Christmas station, the glitter and the mistletoe!
