Hey you all! I figured I would check in with everyone on their resolutions! I know leading up to the New Year Extravangaza I gave out tips and advice. Today I figured I would give you all an update on my resolutions and where I am!
- Resolution #1: Stick to a workout plan! Since the new year, I have been doing a combination of Pure Barre classes and the app Sweat with Kayla. Let me tell you, I have not been able to see a transformation in my body yet… but I can tell you what I have done. I have attended four Pure Barre classes (which I say is a feat because I have not been home a whole lot!) Even the instructor today said it was great seeing me in the studio more often… That made me so happy! Let me just tell you… I am loving my Sweat app! It gives you daily assignments and instructions. I just want someone to tell me what to do! I will have to keep you posted to physical results, and if I am feeling like my body is changing or if I am getting more toned. But as of right now, I totally recommend Sweat with Kayla the app!
- Resolution #2: Eat healthy! I am officially as of today on day 11 of the Whole30! I am proud of myself and my decision I have made while traveling! I do have to say having this blog is helpful because so many people ask me how it is going and it makes avoiding tough food situations so much easier! I also started a little private group on Facebook of a whole conglomeration of my friends! They make me laugh and keep me going! Also, I have tracked on Lose It EVERY SINGLE DAY since the new year and I know what I am putting into my body and how many calories I am consuming! That is awesome! I have really been able to curb my sweet tooth and only eat fruit about once a day.
- Resolution #3: GET A BUDGET. So this is always the one I suck at! But honestly I have Budgt the App and I am really liking how easy it is. I am a little afraid of how much money I spend on my eyebrows and nails… but I think that is the whole point of this thing! Even though we have only had one official pay check, I can tell you I stuck to my promise of Saving 20% Putting 30% towards my mortgage and using the remainder of my income to pay student loans and pay for life.
So far, so good for me. I have let myself off the hook this year. I am not expecting myself to do my workouts and get in five miles a day. It is hard to say this but I have to sometimes give myself a little break, and a little grace.
Sorry I have not been super consistent. I have been lacking motivation with this cold weather and taking pics, let alone getting pretty is so hard this time of year!
