I am still on a high from this past weekend. It was PACKED full of travel and work. I spoke at West Virginia University for the first time ever which I am still so excited about the opportunity! I have only been to WV once so I was excited to go again and get a little hang out time. Here are the highlights:
- I spoke to the entire Sorority Community as they are preparing for their January recruitment. There have been some timeline changes for this community and I was honored and thankful they asked me to come and work with this awesome group of women as they face these changes. I have met a few of the community leaders here and there at different conferences or different sorority conventions, so I was pumped to see some familiar faces! I loved the day we had together and I am pumped that they enjoyed our time together.
- Now Morgantown is a FUN college town. It is nestled on a river and is HILLY! It is beautiful and I was there for the very end of the Fall foliage. During the drive I was shocked on just how curvy all of the roads were! I mean I knew, but I was not prepared. It was BEAUTIFUL! We held the event in the Marriott right on the river so waking up and seeing the river and hills in the morning was more than awesome. It was a perfect Saturday!
- I got to see one of my ABSOLUTE FAV humans on the planet. Carrie Loveless and I go back a few years. I have watched her turn from undergraduate leader, to crazy busy consultant to graduate student and now she is 6 months from wrapping up her Master’s Degree and beginning to explore the next step in her career. I am so proud of the woman she has become in these four short years. One of my favorite parts of my job is that I build relationships with so many college women as they are getting through college and we get to catch up later in life! I am so thankful to see these wonderful ladies that I meet; watching them grow up, grown into themselves to continue to change the world!
I love the work I do and I am constantly humbled that anyone gives me a microphone. West Virginia was a great experience and I loved visiting a new campus but seeing old friends!
