I travel all over the country and speak for a living.  In short I am a ‘motivational speaker,’ for a company called Phired Up Productions.  The most important thing you need to know about my job is that it is my life.  I love it.  It is the thing I like the most about myself.  Have you ever been totally, completely blissfully happy… I have, on a stage with a microphone attached to my lapel.  The thing I love most about my job is that I teach young women how to admit that we need each other and how to create your tribe.  I openly admit I would be NOTHING with out my friends.

I walk the talk I preach.  I put my friendships above myself.  I put the people I work with above my needs DAILY.  Humans are hardwired for connection and I will never do anything to tarnish those connections… hopefully you see that in the blog.  Finally, Loyalty is one of my number one values.  Not ethics… not integrity, and not justice.  Sure I break a few rules… but I guarantee with me it will always be fun, and I will stick by you.

If you want to book me, or re-book me click here!  Or just contact me!  We can be friends forever and Ill put you into my collection of people I fiercely love!

In one of my Favorite Ted Talks… Sarah Kay, the speaker says the best way to start your life’s poetry is to write down what you know to be true… This is my life and here is what I know to be true about myself.

#1  I laugh.  I am not afraid to be the loudest laugh in the room.  I try to find the joy in every moment of life and drink it up, enjoy it and laugh at how wonderful it all is.  I laugh loudly.

#2  I cry.  I am not afraid of pain and sorrow.  I think sadness is beautiful and I learned a long time ago that in order to be truly happy you have to let the bad in with the good.  There is beauty in pain and pain in beauty.  I am not afraid to cry because I know only when you look pain in the face will it go away.

#3  I say yes.  I try to never say no to a friend, an opportunity or a request of my time.  My experiences are fleeting.  I do not want to take one moment for granted so I try to soak it in as much as possible and never live to say I wish… So i say yes.

#4  I push.  I push myself, I have high expectations, I expect the best out of myself and people around me.  I know if a human can do something so can I and I do not let exhaustion, fear or doubt stop me because I push myself hard every day.

#5  I feel you.  When I was younger I never understood how beautiful empathy was.  Now I believe hurting with someone, laughing with someone and feeling with someone is the most beautiful way to feel.

Finally – I believe music sounds best when you are dancing to it.  Honestly … I love songs so much more when I am dancing… it does not have to be technical, beautiful or even creative… but I love dancing.

You spoke at my school tonight (university of Delaware) and I just wanted to tell you how amazing you are. I struggle with feeling like I am enough no matter what I do but listening to you speak tonight gave me hope that maybe I am enough. Everything you said was so true and really resonated with me. Thank you for coming and I want you to know that you really did make an impact on me with what you were saying and how I will try to look at myself in the future.
